LITTLE ROCK, AR - Vice President Dick Cheney is due in Little Rock on Monday to deliver a speech at a Republican party event.

Cheney is scheduled to speak at a reception for the 2004 State Victory Committee, which raises funds for party candidates in state and federal elections.

The visit is part of the Bush administration's re-election blitz in Arkansas, considered a battleground state in the November election.

President Bush visited Little Rock on January 26, El Dorado on April 6 and Fort Smith on May 11.  He traveled to Arkansas eight times during the 2000 race.

Cheney spoke in Bentonville on May 3 and his wife, Lynn Cheney, appeared in Springdale the same day Bush was in Fort Smith.

The Federal Aviation Administration said airspace in the Little Rock area will be restricted for several hours on Monday at the request of the Secret Service.
