Police: Woman arrested again after stabbing man with butcher knife

FORREST CITY, AR (KAIT) -  Forrest City Police said they arrested a woman for prostitution after picking up new information on a physical altercation that happened in June.

According to the police department, Katherine Smith, 37, of Forrest City, was arrested for prostitution in connection to a previous incident where she is accused of stabbing 64-year-old Robert Robertson in the neck with a 12 inch butcher knife. 

Police said she was originally picked up for first-degree battery for the stabbing, but information found later connected her to the second charge.

Officer said Smith had fled the scene before they arrived to the home on Elise St. in June, and Robertson was taken to the Forrest City Medical Center where he was then air lifted to another facility.
