REDFIELD (AGFC) – Anglers in Redfield now have a new facility on F.P. Baugh Park Lake. Last year, Commissioners with the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission approved up to $1 million for the Wildlife Observation Trails Pilot Program and up to $500,000 for the Wildlife Recreation Facilities Pilot Program.
The new fishing pier was formally opened earlier this month. The AGFC entered into an agreement with the City of Redfield for the project aimed at developing interest in the state's natural resources. The AGFC awarded the city $70,000 to be used in the $107,000 project.
Both the trails and recreation facilities programs are a result of Act 686 and Act 687 from the 2009 Arkansas General Assembly.
