COPY-Pedestrian killed while crossing road in NE Ark.

BROOKLAND, Ark. (AP) - Arkansas State Police say a Jonesboro woman died after she was struck by a car when she was walking across a highway.

Authorities say the collision happened Saturday night on U.S. 49 near Brookland. Police say 38-year-old Mary Davis was walking across the highway when she was struck by a Cadillac.

Authorities say the driver of the Cadillac, 42-year-old Niki Grisham Garrett of Jonesboro, was not injured in the collision.
