One person has died in a crash near Harrisonville, MO, Thursday evening. The crash happened on Missouri Highway 7 and Walker Road. It involved a car and a tractor-trailer. Harrisonville is in Cass County.
Savannah Nash celebrated her 16th birthday last week. She died Thursday when her car slammed into a semi while she was texting during her first time driving by herself.

BATESVILLE, AR (KAIT) – Peco is a step closer to securing money to expand its operations and add three-hundred new jobs.
Tuesday night, the Batesville City Council gave permission for Peco Foods to apply for a state economic grant.
The grant would provide Peco with at least $485,000 to complete its expansion.
Independence County Economic Development Director Larry Jones says Peco should know by early September if it will receive the money.
East Tennessee Children's Hospital has treated so many babies born dependent on prescription drugs that the facility is now helping other medical centers around the country deal with the crisis.
