Person shocked, sent to hospital to treat extensive injuries

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) – A person was shocked at the Arkansas Glass Container Corporation.

According to Jonesboro Dispatch, medical crews checked out a possible electric shock victim on the roof of the business on 516 West Johnson Ave.

Jonesboro Fire Department battalion chief Stan May said the person in question has been taken to a nearby hospital to treat extensive injuries. He also said the person was transferring work materials to a roof on one of the buildings and hit a live wire.

According to Vicki Rampley COO for Arkansas Glass Container Corporation, the injured person is not an employee of the company.

Traffic on Johnson Ave. is now moving freely.

The name of the person injured has not been released.
