I-40 marker work to require moving lane closures

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department officials say an inspection of plowable lane markers on Interstate 40 will require moving lane closures next week in North Little Rock.

Officials say the work is scheduled for the Morgan and Crystal Hill areas of Interstate 40 and will require one of the available travel lanes in each direction to be closed temporarily during the day.

In the Morgan area on Monday, the westbound outside lane between milemarkers 138 and 142 will be closed from 9 a.m. to noon. From noon to 3 p.m., the eastbound outside lanes between milemarkers 142 and 147 will be closed.

Motorists are urged to move to the available lane as early as possible and exercise caution when approaching and traveling through all highway work zones.
