JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) – It was an emotion day at St. Bernards as co-workers and friends said goodbye Friday to a couple who have done a "GR8 Job" throughout the years.

Together Bonnie and Wayne Ellison have worked at the hospital a combined 79 years. Wayne worked in Engineering and Bonnie in the Business Office.

Though they are retiring, the Ellison say they are not about to stop.  In fact, they already know what they will do in their "golden years."

"Take care of grand kids, go to the lake when we want.  Just do things at our church and just do whatever someone needs us to do." Said Bonnie Ellison.

While they are planning their retirement, Glenn Bridger and their other co-workers say they are sad to see them go. "Wayne and Bonnie are both a great couple.  They would do anything in the world for anybody.  They're always willing to help friend and coworkers anytime in need and they're just a great couple to be affiliated with."

KAIT and Region 8 News would like to say thank you to the Ellisons for all their years of service to the community.
