JPD and NAFA host low cost clinic

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Cat owners took advantage of reduced cost services for their pets Saturday morning.

Jonesboro Police Department Animal Control and Northeast Arkansans for Animals hosted a low cost cat neuter and rabies clinic from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Animal Control building on Petrey Lane.

The neuter and rabies shot cost $10 dollars, much lower than the normal price range, said Officer Benjamin Wright.

"I think it runs $80, $90. If you adopt through (Jonesboro Animal Control), it's $55. It's included in the $55 adoption fee."

Wright said the organizations plan to host another low cost clinic.

Call the Jonesboro Police Department at (870) 935-5553, or NAFA at (870) 932-1955 for more information.
