PARAGOULD, AR (KAIT) – Paragould Police say the Silver Alert for John Egbert has been cancelled after he was found dead inside his overturned car in Jackson County.

According to Paragould Police, 53-year-old John Egbert was found dead inside his overturned car in a canal near Jackson County Road 69. Police say no foul play is suspected.

Police say they found his car by using the National Compliance Center of AT&T after they were able to ping his cell phone.

An air-crew with the Jackson County Sheriff's Officer found the vehicle a short time later.

Egbert was last seen at the VA Hospital in Little Rock on August 2.  His family told police that his credit card was used in Newport the evening of August 2.  He was diabetic.
