JONESBORO, Ark. (AStateRedWolves.com) – The third annual "License to Howl" event will be held Saturday, Aug. 18 in conjunction with the Arkansas State University Alumni Association's "Watering Hole" event as students return to campus for the start of a new school year.
Members of the ASU Athletic and Red Wolf Club staff will be setup behind University Hall and Kays Hall to attach a Red Wolves license plate onto the front of vehicles. The ASU Alumni Association will also be present to hand out bottles of water as students begin the process of moving into the residence halls and preparing for a new academic school year. The athletic department will also have schedule cards, posters and season ticket information available.
"The Red Wolf Club and A-State Athletics are excited to partner with the Alumni Association in welcoming the many new and returning students to Arkansas State," ASU Associate Athletic Director for External Operations and Red Wolf Club Director Doug Doggett said. "This is the third year for our ‘License to Howl' event, which has previously been held in one of our stadium parking lots. This year we're moving across campus to be a part of the excitement of move-in day and the Alumni Association's ‘Watering Hole' event. Our hope is to place new Red Wolves front license plates on every car. We want parents to drive back to their communities and spread A-State pride across the state and the entire country."
Season tickets for ASU's 2012 football campaign are currently on sale at the ASU Ticket Office. The ticket office can be contacted at 870-972-ASU1, or tickets can be purchased online through A-State's official athletic Web site AStateRedWolves.com.
