Jet Carrying Reagan's Casket Lands in Nation's Capital

ANDREWS AIR FORCE BASE, MARYLAND - The White House jet carrying the body of former President Reagan has landed at Andrews Air Force Base outside Washington.

From Andrews, Reagan's casket is being taken to Washington, where it will be placed on a horse-drawn caisson and taken to the Capitol for public viewing in the Rotunda.

Nancy Reagan has been escorted off the plane.

A military band has played "Hail to the Chief," and Reagan has been honored with a 21-gun salute.

The motorcade is now on its way to Washington.

Meanwhile, the White House says President Bush will pay his respects at the U.S. Capitol as Reagan's body lies in state.
