"I'm very excited about the schedule, and I know the guys are too," said ASU head coach Steve Johnson. "We're going to compete across the country this season for the first time in a while. We have a lot of talent coming back, plus a recruiting class that has both talent and experience. We're also hosting a fall event this year in Gulf Shores, Ala., which is something I've been wanting to do for a while because it helps with our scheduling. It wouldn't have been possible without the help of former ASU standout Matt Snowden, who is a Gulf Shores native."
A-State will take part in the Rice Intercollegiate (Houston, Texas) Feb. 4-5 to kickoff its fall schedule, which also includes competition at the Mobile Bay Intercollegiate (Mobile, Ala.) Feb. 18-19, Jack Rabbit Invitational (Primm, Nev.) Mar. 11-12 and Memphis Intercollegiate (Memphis, Tenn.) Mar. 25-26 prior to its annual home tournament. The A-State women's team will also be competing in a tournament hosted by South Dakota State Mar. 11-12, playing at the same time as the men's squad on the 36-hole course at the Primm Valley Golf Club.
The Red Wolves will host the 17th Annual Red Wolf Intercollegiate Apr. 1-2 at RidgePointe Country Club. The tournament will also feature the 5th Annual Wayne Wolfe College-Am and banquet, set for Mar. 31.
