JONESBORO, Ark. (AStateRedWolves.com) —The Arkansas State women's golf team announced its 2012-13 schedule on Tuesday, which includes four tournaments in the fall and six in the spring.
The Red Wolves will open their 2012-13 fall season Sept. 17-18 at the Murray State Drake Creek Invitational in Ledbetter, Ky. ASU will then travel to the Marilynn Smith Sunflower Invitational hosted by the University of Kansas in Lawrence, Kan., Sept. 24-25.
The team will participate in the ORU Shootout Sept. 30-Oct. 2 in Tulsa, Okla., and will host the Lady Red Wolf Classic Oct. 15-16 at Sage Meadows Country Club Jonesboro to conclude its fall season.
"I'm thrilled about our schedule this season," ASU women's golf coach M.J. Desbiens said. "We will be hosting our home event Oct. 15-16 at Sage Meadows Country Club and would love for our ASU supporters to be part of our success this year. The spring season will be very busy but I am anticipating great competition across the country and our strength of schedule will hopefully demonstrate our abilities to compete at that level".
The Red Wolves will begin the spring season Feb. 17-18 at the Jim West Challenge in Blanco, Texas, followed by trip to Weston, Fla., Feb. 25-26 to play in the Sir Pizza Cards Challenge. March 11-12, the squad will compete at the Jack Rabbit Invitational in Prim, Nev., followed by the UALR Classic in Little Rock, Ark., March 25-26. The A-State men's team will also be competing in a tournament hosted by South Dakota State March 11-12, playing at the same as the women's squad on the 36-hole course the Primm Valley Golf Club.
