The Arkansas State baseball program has announced the dates have been set and that registration is open for the 2012 ASU Fall Baseball Camps. A fall team league and an individual prospect camp are scheduled in September and October as Tomlinson Stadium on the ASU Campus.
The fall league will consist of four Sundays where players are placed on teams to experience drills and game participation. The league will play Sept. 23, 30, Oct. 7 and 14 and will be open to players in grades 9-12. The cost to participate is $160 and includes a camp T-shirt.
The fall prospect camp is designed for high school players that want to continue their playing career at the next level. It is open to players in grades 9-12 and the cost to participate is $100. The camp will be held Oct. 27 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and will include a lunch and a camp T-shirt.
Both camps will be taught by Arkansas State head coach Tommy Raffo along with assistant coaches Tighe Dicksinson, Anthony Everman and Jason Lawes. Current and former Red Wolves players will assist in the camp instruction as well.
Campers should provide their own hat, glove helmet, bat and suitable baseball attire including baseball pants. Campers should also bring tennis shoes in the event that the camp is held indoors due to inclement weather. Catchers attending the camps should bring their own catching gear and each camper's name should be clearly printed on their equipment.
