Berry Has Greatest Wealth of Arkansas' Congressional Delegation

JUNE 15, 2004 - Posted at 7:51 a.m. CDT

LITTLE ROCK, AR - Financial disclosure forms show that U.S. Representative Marion Berry has the greatest assets among members of Arkansas' congressional delegation.

Berry is the only one of the six members of Congress with a net worth of at least $1 million.

Representative Vic Snyder was the least affluent, listing assets worth exactly $419,745.  His lone liability was a Citibank credit card debt of between $10,000 and $15,000.

Senators Blanche Lincoln and Mark Pryor and Representatives John Boozman and Mike Ross reported assets ranging past $1 million on annual financial disclosures covering 2003.

All 535 members of Congress are required to file financial disclosure forms annually but can list assets, income and liabilities in broad ranges.  The forms do not require listing the independent assets and earnings of spouses.
