The Arkansas State soccer team fell to No. 24 Memphis 4-0 at Mike Rose Stadium on Friday night.

"We put forth a good effort, but small errors against the run of play cost us dearly," ASU soccer coach Tafadzwa Ziyenge said. "It's still very early in the season and considering that we are so young I am a firm believer that this group will do well."

Memphis added to its lead in the second half with goals from Madison Oliver (53rd) and Schryvers (64th) to give the Tigers a 4-0 cushion.

Christina Fink and Ashley McMurtry led ASU with two shots each, while Ashley Jackson also took a shot. McMurtry had two shots on goal, while Fink and Jackson each had one shot land on goal.

In goal for A-State, Audrey Baldwin played 53 minutes and made five saves, while Aja Aguirre played the remainder of the game and made one save.
