GREENE COUNTY, AR (KAIT) – Weather may be to blame for a house fire in Oak Grove Heights Wednesday.

On Wednesday, a couple in their 70's was in their home in the 300 block of Oak Grove Road watching their 3-year-old grandson, when they say lightning struck their home and caused it to catch fire.

The couple and their grandson were able to make out unharmed.

Firefighters say there was heavy smoke and flames coming from the home when they arrived. A small hole had to be cut into the roof to help stop the spread of the flames in the attic area

No firefighters were injured, and the official cause of the fire remains under investigation.
