NEWARK, AR (KAIT) – Organizers are promising a good time this weekend at the Times-N-Traditions Festival in Newark.
The Newark Area Chamber of Commerce has entertainment planned all day Saturday for the 18th annual event.
The festival begins with a parade at 10 a.m. through downtown Newark, with various musical acts performing until the evening at Newark City Park.
Ernie Pectol, a Chamber board member, says the event helps promote his hometown.
"It's our main event that we actually do for the community," Pectol said. "We also have some yard sales and other activities for the community, but it's our big event for the Chamber. It's a fundraiser for us, we hope."
Admission to the festival costs $5 per person, and all the proceeds benefit the Newark Area Chamber of Commerce and its operations.
