BATESVILLE, AR (KAIT) -    The Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce prepped for the 69th annual White River Water Carnival today.

The carnival kicks off Saturday at 3 p.m. with a parade down Main Street. Lawn mower races, a chicken wing cook-off and more entertainment continue through the night at Riverside Park in Batesville.

Mandi Curtwright says this event is great because it brings the community together.  "It's the 69th year that we've had. It's always the parade down Main Street and then all the events at Riverside Park. It's a pleasure getting to see the community come out and support community events like the Water Carnival."
