JONESBORO, AR (AStateRedWolves.com) - Arkansas State Head Football Coach Gus Malzahn announced Tuesday that senior wide receiver Allen Muse is no longer a part of the football team.
"Allen has faced tremendous tragedy in his life over the last few years," said Malzahn. "He and I talked and agreed that it was best for him to focus on his personal life and family moving forward. I want to wish Allen nothing but the best in the future."
Muse finished his ASU career with 65 receptions for 853 yards and seven touchdowns. He recorded a career-high eight receptions against Navy in 2010 and posted a career-best 133 receiving yards against Louisiana-Lafayette, also as a sophomore in 2010.
