Region 8 golfers hit the Paragould Country Club to help AMMC

PARAGOULD, AR (KAIT)- Region 8 golfers teed up to help a local hospital.

This afternoon at the Paragould Country Club, a check was presented to the Arkansas Methodist Medical Center Foundation in the amount of 47-thousand dollars! The money will be used to help A-M-M-C serve the community better.

Terry Austin, Director of the AMMC Foundation says, "We've put that into projects like new ambulances for communities like Rector and Corning. We have a basis in both of those towns."

Austin also says in the last 11-years that they've held the tournament, they've raised 600-thousand dollars. That money has been used to buy whatever the hospital needs, including new medical equipment and hospital renovations.
