Some local drivers have feared that a bridge collapse like the one in Washington State this week could happen closer to home. People have been particularly fearful of the aging Black River Bridge that connects Black Rock and Portia on U.S. 63 in Lawrence County.

PARAGOULD, AR (KAIT)- A "Back-To-School Bonanza" is taking place at the Child and Youth Pediatric Day Clinic in Paragould.
Its a community-wide event benefiting D-H-S Foster Care. People can expect to be entertained with live music from the band, Nashville Skyline. They'll be serving food and drinks plus a number of games.
Chassidy Parker, Clinic Director, says, "We try to do a community event each year just to get our name in the community. Last year we did something with Mission Outreach and this year we decided to partner with DHS."
Admission is free, but they are accepting donations of toiletry items for children in the foster care system. It's taking place until 8 o'clock.
