JPD: man shot in buttock following dispute

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) – The Jonesboro Police Department is investigating an early morning shooting at an apartment complex.

Officers responded to a call regarding shots fired at the Garden Manor apartment complex located at 300 Garden Manor around 1 a.m. Saturday.

Officers said a large crowd was gathered in the parking lot when they arrived.

According to police, officers found a 21-year-old man "suffering from a gunshot to the left buttock. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment for his injury." The victim was later identified as Dominquie Dixon of Osceola.

Officers arrested Demario Cannon of Jonesboro and Willieeva Johnson of Kennett, Missouri.

The suspect will appear at a probable cause hearing Monday, September 17 at 1 p.m.
