FORREST CITY, AR (KAIT)- A man is facing several drug charges after a traffic stop.
The Forrest City Police Department reports that officers stopped Theo James Walker, 22, of Forrest City for a traffic violation.
Police say at some point during the stop, Walker fled from police, but was later apprehended.
When detectives searched Walker's vehicle, they found a large bag containing approximately 101.5 grams of marijuana and a set of digital scales. Police say the items were lying in plain view in the front seat of Walker's vehicle. Police estimate that the marijuana has a street value of $1,100.00.
Police also say they found a loaded handgun stored under Walker's driver's seat.
Walker has been charged with possession of a controlled substance (marijuana) less than 4 ounces, possession of schedule VI substance with purpose to deliver, simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, possession of firearms by certain persons, possession of drug paraphernalia, fleeing and no seat belt.
He is being held in the St. Francis County jail. Walker's arraignment is set for September 24th.
