    A Jonesboro woman was arrested Saturday, July 26, after police say she left her two babies home alone. Sharonda Lopez, 25, is charged with two counts of first degree child endangerment.

When a parent asks me what to do when they first give a child their own email account, I recommend talking to them to set the ground rules. Share the account initially, and tell them you will be checking their email periodically to make sure they follow the rules.

Remember: Online safety is not about "snooping." It is about keeping a close eye on your children when it comes to their online activities. You need to be as concerned about the people your child is communicating with online as you are about their connections in the physical world.
