Some local drivers have feared that a bridge collapse like the one in Washington State this week could happen closer to home. People have been particularly fearful of the aging Black River Bridge that connects Black Rock and Portia on U.S. 63 in Lawrence County.

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT)- Kids and families headed out to the Crowley's Ridge Nature Center to celebrate the 6th annual Fall Family Fair.
Over five hundred people went to the center to celebrate National Hunting and Fish Day.
Cody Walker with the Nature Center says these activities help focus on wildlife and fish conservation. "[We're] starting them out early with all these fun games and getting to tour the nature center that's the first step forward in starting conservation in Arkansas."
Kids were able to practice archery, play around at the BB gun range and get their faces painted.
