WEST MEMPHIS, AR (KAIT) – A Marion man was killed in a vehicle accident Tuesday.

According to the Arkansas State Police, pedestrian Anthony Daniel, 21, died after a car struck him on Interstate 40.

The initial crash record revealed that Salena Hayes, 27, of Forrest City, was traveling westbound on I-40 when Daniel ran out in front of her. The record indicated that Hayes struck him with her car, and then a second car, driven by Kenneth Carmichael, also hit Daniel.

Hayes was taken to Crittenden County hospital for treatment; Carmichael was not injured.
