JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - The Third Annual BarCamp Jonesboro brought in marketing leaders for a day full of tech presentations on Saturday.
The technology and marketing conference was held at the Delta Center at Arkansas State University.
Throughout the day, those in attendance were able to sit in on 12 presentations ranging from creating your own tech startups to mobile marketing for small businesses.
Organizer Steven Trotter said the event is all about marketing.
"Meeting everybody, getting everybody to come together and meet everybody, learn what resources are available, learn new technologies and so that next time we need somebody, say we need somebody with website design and you know you can call somebody that you met at BarCamp and make those connections," Trotter said.
Trotter told Region 8 News the number of people hearing about BarCamp has grown in the past three years, as multiple generations are now coming out for the event.
"Mostly millennial's, like Gen-Y, Gen-X and baby boomers," Trotter said. "We've got students who are on campus and walk over just to see what we're doing and we've got people here who are in their 50's and 60's."
Saturday's event was free of charge through local and national supporters.
Trotter said next year, BarCamps in Northeast, Central and Northwest Arkansas will come together to approach national sponsors.
