JONESBORO, AR (KAIT)- The Westside School District is working on getting something amazing for their students: a piano from the Metropolitan Opera House in New York City.
School Board President, Alan Oldman, says they need the public's help to make it happen. There is currently a fundraiser going on where people can buy one of these keys found on the school's website. Once all the keys are bought, they'll have the money to purchase this rare opportunity for students.
Oldman, says, "I think it's a morale booster for our district, for our students, it will give them some opportunities they've not had before. And just to build our community support to get behind a project and just be proud of what we're doing here at Westside."
The value of the keys available for purchase vary and donations are tax deductible.
