From Harding University
In a rarity in collegiate cross country, Harding's teams will compete in two
dual races Friday against Arkansas Tech's teams.
Harding's women will
take on Tech's women in a two-mile race beginning at 4 p.m., with the men's
four-mile race to follow at 4:45 p.m.
The races will be scored. The
number of runners scored will be based on whichever team has the fewest runners.
For example, if Harding runs eight competitors and Arkansas Tech runs seven, the
top seven runners on each team will be scored.
"I'm not sure how many
races like this are being run around the country," Harding head coach Steve Guymon said. "But this should
be really fun for our athletes to race in a format like this."
