Several road closures, restrictions during BBQ Festival

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) – If you're planning on driving through downtown Jonesboro this weekend, you may have to take another route. The Downtown Jonesboro BBQ Festival is here.

Starting Friday morning at 9, Union Avenue from Huntington to Washington was shut down, and traffic was redirected westbound onto Huntington and south onto Flint, said Jonesboro Dispatch.

For now, Madison, Cate and Burke are open for emergency vehicles and patrol cars, and one lane is left open on Madison between Monroe and Huntington for residents who live on that street.

Dispatch also said that on Saturday, Main Street will be closed at 2 a.m. and barricades will be out at the intersections on Main and Washington, Church and Huntington, Union and Huntington, and Monroe and Church. In addition, one lane of traffic on Cate and Burke between Union and Main will be closed for the stage; westbound traffic will be forced from Cate onto the bridge.

For your convenience, we've provided a map of lane closures for Friday and Saturday and a layout of the Downtown Jonesboro BBQ Festival events. (You'll only be able to see these links from a desktop computer.)
