Harding men's soccer struggled to put together an offensive attack, and Christian Brothers held onto an early lead and defeated the Bisons 1-0 in non-conference action Sunday.
Harding (4-7-2) is winless in its last four games since a 3-0 victory over Upper Iowa on Sept. 28. Sunday's game was the Bisons' second of four straight on the road. Harding will be back in MIAA play against Southwest Baptist on Thursday in Bolivar, Mo.
Christian Brothers (4-5-1), who won for the first time in its last four games, scored in the seventh minute on goal by Jose Ferraz. Buc Neil Cummings sent a through ball forward to Adamandios Toras who crossed it to Ferraz for his team-leading fifth goal of the season.
Harding had only three shots in the game, two coming before halftime. Christian Brothers goalkeeper Britton McGuire, who made his first start of the season, needed to make only one save in the shutout.
The Bucs had 25 shots, eight on goal, and Harding goalkeeper Chase Keeney made seven saves.
