Perfect scores: Harding Cross Country wins twice at Arkansas Tech

Harding's cross country teams won both races with perfect scores at the Arkansas Tech Meet on Friday.

Harding's men had the top nine finishers in a race against five runners from University of the Ozarks and two more from Central Baptist College and scored 15 points. Ozarks had 50 points.

Freshman Dawid Konieczek won the four-mile race in 20 minutes, 22 seconds in his Harding debut. Sophomore Lajos Farkas was second (20:23), followed by sophomore Logan Green (20:26), junior Matt Cumpian (20:31), and junior Taylor Lively (20:55).

Harding's women had the top five finishers and seven of the top eight in winning their race with 15 points. Arkansas Tech had 50 points.

Sophomore Ewa Zaborowska won the two-mile women's race in 11:18. Sophomore Rachel Roberts was second (11:54), followed by freshman Tammy Kim (12:10), freshman Kelsey Taylor (12:16), and sophomore Amber Priest (12:24).

Harding's teams compete next at the Chile Pepper Festival, hosted on Oct. 13 by the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville.
