FAYETTEVILLE (NWAOnline.com) - Arkansas linebacker Alonzo Highsmith will miss the remainder of the 2012 football season with a foot injury suffered against Auburn on Saturday.
The senior will undergo surgery on Monday to repair the injury, Razorbacks coach John L. Smith said. Highsmith was Arkansas' leading tackler through five games, recording 54 tackles – including four for loss – and two sacks. He also had a fumble recovery.
Highsmith's injury is his second in less than seven months. He was unable to go through spring practices after tearing a pectoral muscle during a weight-lifting accident in March.
