The Arkansas State baseball team will get a chance to showcase their talents infront of Major League scouts when the Red Wolves baseball program will host its annual pro day Tuesday, Oct. 9 at Tomlinson Stadium and Kell Field.

The event will give pro scouts a chance to get a preview of the talent on the A-Stateroster prior to the start of the 2013 season. This past June, A-State had four players taken in the Major League Baseball draft.

The Cleveland Indians took the Red Wolves' Jacob Lee in the ninth round of the MLB Draft, while the Seattle Mariners drafted Michael Faulkner in the 12th round. Brandon Farley was taken by the San Francisco Giants in the 33rd round and Adam Grantham was a 32nd round selection by the Atlanta Braves.

The Arkansas State baseball team has been in fall camp since Sept. 12. Scout Day is scheduled to get underway at 3 p.m., with players being timed in a 60-yard dash, taking batting practice and going through infield and outfield drills.  Evaluation activities will end with a three-inning game, withArkansas State's draft-eligible pitchers all taking the mound during the scrimmage, which will begin around 4:15 p.m.
