Motorcycle accident in Baxter County kills man

BAXTER COUNTY, AR (KAIT) – Arkansas State Police say aman in Baxter County was killed in a motorcycle accident that happened Oct. 8.

According to the ASP, 23-year-old Derek Long, ofFranklin, was traveling westbound on the HWY 62 bypass when a Ford driven byKayla D. Brown, 20, of Mountain Home, failed to yield at the Rossi Road intersection andpulled into the path of Long's motorcycle.

Police said Brown was taken to the Baxter County RegionalMedical Center for treatment.
