BAXTER COUNTY,  AR (KAIT) – Two Region 8 men are behind bars tonight after a manhunt in Baxter County.

Baxter County Sheriff's Deputies and officers from other agencies arrested Robert McClure, 41, and Robert Murrill, 35, after a car chase with a Game and Fish Commission officer.

By the time other officers arrived, McClure was already in custody. Police say Murrill ran from the car and into nearby woods.

After a search by officers and tracking dogs, Murrill was found several hundred yards away.

Murril was taken to the Baxter County Regional Medical Center after complaining of a leg injury.  He will be taken to the Baxter County Detention center.  He faces charges of fleeing an officer on foot, public intoxication, obstructing government operations, and failure to appear warrants out of Sharp County and Mountain Home.

McClure was booked in the Baxter Detention Center.  He's been charged with fleeing from an officer in a vehicle, driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, and prohibited passing.

Both are being held on bond.

McClure will appear in court on Monday, October 15.  A court date has not been set for Murrill.
