
From Harding University
Harding women's golf, currently ranked 14th in NCAA Division II, has a
staggering 38-stroke lead after round one of the Bison Fall Golf Classic, played
Monday at Greystone Country Club.
The Lady Bisons had four of the top
five golfers in round one and shot 325 with Arkansas-Monticello second at 363.
Southern Arkansas is third at 383, and Lyon College rounds out the field at
388.
Harding sophomore Emily Plyler is in second place
individually after shooting a 7-over 79. She trials Pamela Quiatchon of
Arkansas-Monticello by one stroke. Harding's Brittany Marquez, the 45th-ranked
player in Division II, is in third place after shooting an 80.
Two
Harding seniors are fourth and fifth. So-Yun Kim is fourth with an 82,
and Becca Godman is fifth at
84.
The final round is Tuesday at Greystone.
