The Panthers replaced Ron Parker with Jerry Franklin, a rookie linebacker who was waived by the Denver Broncos in the final roster cutdown. On Tuesday, they added 334-pound tackle Ray Dominguez, who dressed for six Green Bay Packers games as a rookie in 2011 – and terminated guard Bryant Browning.
"Jerry was a guy coming out this past season at linebacker that we liked out of Arkansas. We had an opportunity to bring him in and put him on the practice squad and watch him for a few weeks and see if he can be a part of what we want to do as we go forward," Rivera said. "Ray is a big body, a physical football player. He's a guy that we want to evaluate at a position we want to look at."
