ASP: Paragould business fire is arson, suspect in custody

PARAGOULD, AR (KAIT) – Arkansas State Police have ruled a Paragould business fire to be arson.

According to Special Agent Scott Pillow, Jennifer Denese Pollock, 36, of Paragould, has been arrested in connection with a fire that burned a business, the office of Certified Public Accountant Jimmy D. Wilson, on West Court Street. Pollock faces charges of arson and commercial burglary.

Police said Pollock entered the office unlawfully and started a fire that caused "at least $5,000 but less than $15,000 worth of damage."

Pollock is currently being held in the Greene County Jail.

    According to Randolph County Sheriff Gary Tribble, a person was being held Sunday in the Randolph County jail after being taken into custody by Arkansas State Police in connection with the deaths of two people.
