BONO, AR (KAIT) – An accident on Highway 63 Tuesday night was the conclusion of a pursuit by a Lawrence County Constable.

According to Arkansas State Police, John Simpson of Jonesboro crashed his mustang in a water filled ditch Tuesday night at the intersection of Highway 63 and highway 63B.

The car was partially submerged, and Simpson was pulled from the car by a Bono Police Officer. Simpson was then air-lifted to the Med in Memphis. His condition is unknown at this time.

There is no word as to why the Lawrence County Constable was in pursuit of Simpson.

ASP is waiting on an incident report from the constable.
