JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) – A Georgia woman and a Newport man are behind bars after police say they were running a prostitution ring in Jonesboro.

According to the Craighead County Sheriff's Department police report, undercover police were able to arrange a sexual encounter with a woman and her handler Thursday afternoon.

Deputies say 18-year-old Taylor Morris and 25-year-old Johnathon Gravette were arrested after they came to a motel room to have sex with, what turned out to be, an undercover police officer.

Police say a website was advertising the prostitution ring.

Police say once the meeting was set, Morris and Gravette showed up at the motel room. Gravette left soon after they entered the room, and was arrested in a nearby parking lot.

Morris was arrested after the conversation about sex for money.

Both are facing multiple prostitution charges.
