Pam Hicks celebrates new beginning with family

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT)-  A gathering took place Sunday in Blytheville for the celebration of a new beginning for Pam Hicks and her family.

The event had a live band as family and friends came by to support her. Hicks and her attorney have filed suit against the city of West Memphis.

Hicks filed suit against the city of West Memphis in an attempt to have all the case's evidence released.  She says even if the courts decide against her, she won't give up until there is justice.

"We're going appeal. We're not scared. Like I said, 'Time to get this party started.' I'm excited, and I can't wait to see what's coming out. We need justice for six: my son, Stevie Branch, Michael Moore, Chris Myers, Damien Echols, Jason Baldwin and Jessie Misskelly and myself, so I can have peace," said Hicks.

Hicks plans to use the Freedom of Information Act to view all evidence collected during the investigation.
