In just over one week KAIT will air the first on-air segment
from Baby It Up! I am excited and nervous. This project is sort of the third
baby in my life right now, after the nugget I'm growing and Rico (the pup). Where
do the cats fall on that list, you ask?
Well…they're big girls, now. I hope you pick up on some of the fun we've
had with Baby It Up and learn a thing or two. The women who will be chatting it
up next Wednesday evening really were very honest, had some funny things to say
about motherhood, and a little touching, too.
Through the month of November Baby It Up will cover a lot of
the basics of pregnancy and babies. You'll hear from doctors about some of the
latest things you need to know about the pregnancy and labor/delivery process. I'll give you a look at the first 48 hours
baby is at home. (I don't know about you,
but it seems pretty harrowing to me!) We'll
also delve into the topic of loss both in pregnancy and after. With more than 6
million pregnancies in the US every year, many end in loss. Let's get frank about it. If you are going
through loss right now—you are not alone, understand that—and there is a group right
here in Region 8 who can help.
And remember, I'm here for you. What do you want to ask the
people I'm talking to this month? I'll try to get your questions answered!
Babyin' it up,
Sarah
