JPD searching for man who robbed Family Dollar on Johnson

Jonesboro Police are investigating an armed robbery at the Family Dollar on Johnson Avenue in Jonesboro. Jonesboro Police are investigating an armed robbery at the Family Dollar on Johnson Avenue in Jonesboro.

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) – Jonesboro Police are investigating an armed robbery that took place Tuesday night at the Family Dollar Store on Johnson Avenue in Jonesboro.

 According to Jonesboro Police Lt. Rick Elliott, the store was robbed at knife point just before 8:00 Tuesday night.  

They say their suspect is a black male, who at the time was wearing a grey hoodie, a skullcap that partially covered his face and blue jeans.

Lt. Elliott says the suspect ran from the store to the east, heading back into the neighborhoods behind the store.

Police say he did get cash from the register, but that amount hasn't been released.
