A Batesville man was arrested Tuesday following an investigation into computer child pornography.
POPLAR BLUFF, MO (KAIT)- The Poplar Bluff Police Department is conducting its annual Halloween Sex Offender Compliance Check today.
According to the Poplar Bluff PD, the purpose of the reminder is to confirm registration information on compliant offenders. There are also Halloween related restrictions for certain sex offenders:
Sex offenders convicted after August 28, 2008 are required to avoid all Halloween related contact with kids, remain in their homes between 5 p.m. and 10:30 p.m., and they must have a sign outside their homes that says "No candy or treats at this residence." All residential lights must also be turned off during the evening hours.
"No candy or treats at this residence" signs are available free of charge at the front desk of the Poplar Bluff Police Department.
Arkansas' state treasurer is being accused of repeatedly taking cash payments, sometimes in a pie box, from a broker who saw his share of business with the state increase in recent years.
