From Williams Baptist College
The bracket has been released for the 54th annual Williams Baptist
College Tournament. The high school invitational begins Nov. 24.
Hillcrest earned the top seed in the boy's bracket, while defending
champion Marmaduke was selected the top seed in the girl's bracket for
the second straight season.
The top three seeds in the boy's
bracket are Hillcrest (1), Hoxie (2), and Viola (3), and each will
receive a bye in the first round. They are followed by Pocahontas (4),
Riverside (5), Walnut Ridge (6), Marmaduke (7), Tuckerman (8),
Southside (9), Corning (10), Maynard (11), Sloan-Hendrix (12), and Black
Rock (13).
In the girl's bracket, the top four seeds will
receive a bye. The seeds in order are: Marmaduke (1), Southside (2),
Pocahontas (3), and Maynard (4). The following seeds are Corning (5),
Hillcrest (6), Walnut Ridge (7), Viola (8), Hoxie (9), Tuckerman (10),
Sloan-Hendrix (11), and Black Rock (12).
The WBC Tournament will
run November 24 through December 1, and the games will be played in
WBC's Southerland-Mabee Center. The seeds were selected by a vote of
tournament coaches.
