* - Seven SEC teams are ranked in this week's USA Today Coaches and Associated Press Polls – Alabama leads both polls for the 10th straight week followed by Georgia 5th in both polls, Florida 7th in both polls, LSU 9th in both polls, South Carolina 11thin USA Today and 12th in AP, Texas A&M 14th in USA Today and 15th in AP and Mississippi State 22nd in AP and 23rd in USA Today.

 

* - The SEC has had at least four teams ranked in the top 10 of one of the four major polls every week of this season.

 

* - SEC has eight of the top 27 teams in the nation in scoring defense, 10 of the top 40 in net punting and have six of the top 30 passers in passing efficiency.

* - Both Florida and Alabama have clinched at least a share of the divisional championship but need help in order to make the SEC Championship Game.  Florida would win the Eastern Division title outright and make the championship game if Auburn defeats Georgia this weekend.  Should Georgia defeat the Tigers, the Bulldogs will represent the Eastern Division as a co-champion, winning the head-to-head tie-breaker with the Gators. 

                Alabama needs to defeat either Texas A&M or Auburn to represent the Western Division in the SEC Championship Game.  Texas A&M is the only other SEC team mathematically remaining to make the SEC Championship and would need for Alabama to lose twice and A&M to defeat both the Tide and Missouri.

 

* - Arkansas RB Dennis Johnson, with 156 all-purpose rushing yards against Tulsa, moved into 10th place in career all-purpose rushing yards in SEC history with 5,104 yards.

 

* - With four passing touchdowns against Ole Miss, Georgia QB Aaron Murray now has 80 career TD passes, which is sixth in SEC history. 

 

* - Tennessee's 718 total offensive yards against Troy is the most in the SEC this season.

 

* - Tennessee and Troy combined for 1,439 total offensive yards yesterday, which is the most for two teams in a game involving an SEC team.  The previous record was 1,329 yards, set in 1997 by Tennessee and Kentucky.  The 103 combined points are the fourth highest total in a regulation game in SEC history.

 

* - Texas A&M's Johnny Manziel has 922 rushing yards this season, third highest for a quarterback in SEC history.  Auburn's Cam Newton has record at 1,473 yards and Auburn's Jimmy Sidle is second at 1,006 yards. 

 

* - Vanderbilt's 40-0 win over Kentucky was the Commodores' first SEC defensive shutout since Nov. 9, 1968 (6-0 vs. Kentucky).
