One person has died in a crash near Harrisonville, MO, Thursday evening. The crash happened on Missouri Highway 7 and Walker Road. It involved a car and a tractor-trailer. Harrisonville is in Cass County.
Savannah Nash celebrated her 16th birthday last week. She died Thursday when her car slammed into a semi while she was texting during her first time driving by herself.

LAWRENCE COUNTY, AR (KAIT) - Sheriff's deputies arrested a man accused of sexually assaulting a seven-year-old girl.
According to Lawrence County Sheriff Jody Dotson, deputies arrested Alicia resident Tommy Burgett, 44, following a call to the child abuse and neglect hotline about a seven-year-old girl being sexually assaulted.
The Crimes Against Children Division of the Arkansas State Police contacted the sheriff's office, which prompted an investigation. During the investigation, the young girl was interviewed and gave a statement about what happened.
Sheriff's investigators then contacted Burgett and questioned him about the allegations against him. During the questioning, Burgett admitted to the allegations. A deputy then arrested him for sexual assault in the second degree.
Burgett is a level two sex offender convicted for touching small girls in the past.
Burgett is in the Lawrence County Jail awaiting a bond hearing.
East Tennessee Children's Hospital has treated so many babies born dependent on prescription drugs that the facility is now helping other medical centers around the country deal with the crisis.
